Programmes

Although all the participants had attended a wide variety of management and leadership courses and qualifications previously, I have no doubt that the programme facilitated by The Institute for Organisational Development had the greatest impact at both an emotional and operational level. This programme got to the heart of who these leaders are, how they perceive themselves and how others perceive them. As a critical group of senior leaders in the constabulary I now have a team who understand each other, will support each other and will work in a cohesive manner to achieve the significant transformation which lies ahead of us.

Deputy Chief Constable

Excellent! I feel more confident in facilitating and challenging uncomfortable moments when / perceived aggression and while running meetings and training events. Just Great – thanks. Great team and great facilitation.

Kate Bridgemen – University of Hull

The course helps you re-appraise your consultancy style, learn new techniques and have the opportunity to explore different approaches. I not only found it helpful personally, but both during and after the course I was able to share the learning with my team and colleagues and improve the NHS IMAS offer for clients, partners and pool members.

Janet Walter, NHS IMAS Managing Partner Venue

I have really enjoyed attending The Institute for Organisational Development’s OD certificate programme. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that I already notice myself using in various situations, both at work and in other areas of my life. The peaceful surroundings and collaborative facilitation style enabled me to really connect with what I was learning and get as much as I could out of the programme.

Programme Delegate Feedback June 2015

On an individual level the programmes are great for reflecting on my personal practice and have improved my conversations better with the clients. On an organisational level I’ve used them both within the police sector and a private sector organisation. It’s all been about building the performance of team members and making sure that services are improved and we get better outputs from them.

Dawn Cooper, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS FT

To summarise the Resilient Leader programme ran by the Institute for OD, I would say the programme gave me the key to a door and the option to open that door and walk through. It provided me with a personal reflectiveness, which has benefitted my personal and professional life.

The programme has shown me the benefit of resilience and mental toughness when achieving my professional objectives as well as looking at my personal well-being.

It is a fantastic programme, I would highly recommend it. If you have the opportunity to take some time out, go to the Institute and take a look for yourself.

Rachel Jackson, Sergeant, Northamptonshire Police

I’ve worked with the Institute for Organisational Development since 2008. I have participated in the Performance Coaching programme. On an individual level the programmes are great for reflecting on my personal practice and have improved my conversations better with the clients. On an organisational level I’ve used them both within the police sector and a private sector organisation. It’s all been about building the performance of team members and making sure that services are improved and we get better outputs from them.

Dawn Cooper, Head of Learning & Development, G4S

Very useful – for me this was the best style as it was informal and flexed to the needs of us all.  Each session was different and changed to what our needs were.  My expectations have been exceeded.

Lynne Fawcus, The Co-Operative Group

This course has been a life changing experience. The programme is well balanced and I have appreciated the experience of supervision and being coached as well as the modules. My expectations have been exceeded. It has been a personal journey of discovery.

Zoe McDougall, Performance Development Coach

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the interaction with you and colleagues was fantastic.  It was also good to have the time out from such a busy working week to just have time to think and consider – a practice I have continued with since the end of the course.

Kim Nurse, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development, West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS
