Autumn Member Conference

“The Rise and Rise of Values-based OD”

Our next Autumn Member Conference has been confirmed for Tuesday 15th October 2019! This will take place at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Management House, Corby, Cottingham Road, Corby, NN17 1TT

As we work to continue to demystify and educate around the key aspects of OD, our Autumn Member Conference will be an experiential learning opportunity modelling the importance of values-based decisions around OD. With key note speakers and interactive workshops, this day will inspire members to ensure the importance of making values based decisions in OD is understood and practiced. Making values-based decisions is not a once-in-awhile thing; it’s a daily action.

Benjamin Franklin addressed values-based decisions when he said, “We stand at the crossroads, each minute, each hour, each day, making choices. We choose the thoughts we allow ourselves to think, the passions we allow ourselves to feel, and the actions we allow ourselves to perform. Each choice is made in the context of whatever value systems we have selected to govern our lives. In selecting that value system, we are in a very real way, making the most important choice we will ever make . . . .”

So, if you don’t use your values to make decisions and guide your actions, then why have them?

Strategic and Individual Members can confirm attendance now by contacting to express your interest in attending.

I decided to attend the conference because it’s all about ethics. For me ethics in leadership is absolutely crucial, not just for our service but across all public services and the private sector. So far it’s been fantastic. I’ve really enjoyed the coaching and the main speaker. I would recommend anyone to spend some time here and interchange ideas with colleagues and talk to the Institute consultants who are fabulous at what they do. The conference gives you time to reflect on what you are trying to achieve at work.
