About Us

The Institute for Organisational Development is the government validated professional body for Organisational Development practitioners in the United Kingdom. The Institute for Organisational Development exists to promote the art, science and practice of Organisational Development in the UK.

As a Member-driven organisation, the Institute works with organisations and individuals in Membership in four areas of interconnected practice – OD Consultancy, development Programmes, practice-based Research and the sharing of its Voice and the Voices of others.

The Institute for OD’s key offering to UK businesses is to be their strategic Organisational Development Partner, through building a long-term, collaborative Strategic Membership relationship.

Working with organisations and individuals across the UK, the Institute’s vision and activity is guided by an Advisory Group, led by Chair Andy Meadows, Abellio UK HR Director, and further representatives from the Institute for OD’s Membership and Partnership Communities; working alongside the Institute for OD Team and its President Dr. Linda Holbeche to ensure the Institute does what matters most!

The Institute for Organisational Development has an extensive portfolio of highly successful Members across the UK from private, public and third sector environments. Attending a conference is fantastic. It’s a great opportunity to network with people who are interested in the same topics. It’s also a great way to learn about how people are implementing the principles that the Institute for OD present. The networking aspect is an excellent opportunity.
